With a heavy heart and sorrow we regret to inform that one of our founding fathers of Chest and Sleep Medicine Consultants passed away on 6/3/2023. He started this family in 1992. He is loved and will be missed.
Dr. Rao was the chief of medicine at McLaren Flint Hospital. He went to medical school at Guntur Medical College in Guntur, India. He is board certified in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine. His training started at Columbus Hospital in Chicago, IL where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency and completed his fellowship at Veterans Affairs Hospital in Hines, IL.
He was an Associate Professor at Michigan State University School of Medicine.
Dr. Varghese started his medical career attending Kottayam Medical College in Kerala, India from there he did a residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. That training did not stop, from there he did a Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.
When not working he does like to spend his time with family. He is a father to 2 children a son and daughter whom he both raised to be physicians.
He is Associate Professor at Michigan State University School of Medicine.
Dr Youssef has been practicing pulmonary and critical care medicine in the Flint area since 2012.
He completed his internal medicine residency at Henry Ford hospital in Detroit, MI and his pulmonary critical care fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI.
Dr Youssef has a passion for managing patients struggling with Asthma and COPD.
He is experienced in managing lung nodules and performing advanced bronchoscopy EBUS and Navigational bronchoscopy.
He is an Associate Clinical Professor at Michigan State University School of Medicine.
Dr. Peter Sabbagh, is a Michigan native that practices Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine in Flint, Michigan. He did grow up in a Suburb of Detroit and went to college in state as well. He grew up in a blue collar family. His father who was an immigrant to this country worked as a skilled trade for at the time the Chrysler Corporation. His father and his uncles were all union employed which may be what brought him to a blue collar union town like Flint, he easily relates to the people in this city.
He did go to medical school and graduated Cume Laude from the University of Pecs in Hungary. In 2010 he matched in residency from St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, MI in Internal Medicine and graduated residency. From residency he then did a sleep fellowship at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in 2014 then continued education further and did a combined Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship from the same program all the training was completed in July of 2017.
He is an associate Professor at Michigan State University School of Medicine.
